The Britain's Got Talent judge made her feelings clear on the latest royal news

Amanda Holden has shown concern amid Princess Kate's U-turn.

Princess Kate will no longer share details of her outfits at royal engagements, according to insiders, as Kensington Palace shifts its focus towards her charitable work.

A source told The Times: "She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting."

The source added: "There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public and she gets that. But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No. The style is there but it's about the substance."

The move marks a departure from the Palace's long-running tradition of publicising the Princess's outfit details.

The decision sparked discussion on Heart Radio, where Amanda Holden expressed mixed feelings about the change.

The 53-year-old presenter acknowledged the Princess's stance, saying: "Oh my gosh, she's absolutely right, people care way too much about what you're wearing when you're trying to do other stuff."

Holden noted that while she supports Kate "making a stand," she expressed concern for fashion brands affected by the decision.

"I feel sad for the fashion brands though," Holden remarked with a chuckle during Wednesday's show.

She also predicted that despite the official change, people would still manage to identify the sources of Kate's clothing.

Jamie Theakston took a markedly different stance during the Heart Radio discussion.

"Do people care?" the co-host bluntly questioned when discussing the Princess's fashion details.

When Holden expressed sympathy for affected fashion brands, Theakston remained unmoved.

"I wouldn't feel too sorry for them if I were you," he replied, appearing unenthused by the entire update.

The exchange highlighted contrasting views on the significance of royal fashion coverage, with Theakston questioning its relevance to the public interest.

The update comes as Princess Kate recently announced she is in remission from cancer.
