In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we compares parental guidance to God’s role as a loving teacher.
Just as children need wisdom and direction to flourish, humanity requires God’s guidance through Jesus Christ, who Christians believe shows the path to truth and life.
“Children are not born with wisdom on how to live in a way that leads to a healthy and wholesome life. They won't become adults who benefit society unless they receive wise, loving counsel.
“And even though they arrogantly presume to know best, consistently insisting on their own will, they need to be taught and guided through the loving oversight of their parents.
“Good parents act as mirrors, reflecting God's divine role as teacher and guide.
“In Psalm 32:8, God says, ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you, counsel you with my loving eye on you. There is a way we should go, in a way we should not go, in the journey of life.
“How do we know which way leads to the right paths? How do we know which way leads to life or death?
“God has promised to be that wise guide who, through a loving personal relationship like a parent, shows us his will and his way. He does this through His Son, Jesus Christ, who said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
