In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we examine why Christians love to share their faith, even when it risks inviting criticism and rejection.
"Have you ever had good news that you wanted to share? Maybe it's getting the all clear from the doctors. Maybe it's news of an engagement, the birth of a new child, passing that driving test or getting that new job. We love to share good news with others.
"We post it on social media, we tell our family and friends and invite them to share our joy. Have you ever wondered why Christians love to share their faith, even when it risks inviting criticism and rejection? Because Christians love to share life changing good news, the word gospel in the Bible means good message or good news, out of love and overflowing with joy.
"Christians love to spread the good news that God in Jesus broke through time and space and made his dwelling among us. It is good news because it tells us of a God who loves us, who came to meet with us and then die for us. It is good news because it opens the door to knowing God and to life after death. It is good news because it gives hope, peace and purpose that cannot be found anywhere else."
