Political commentator Will Kingston has fumed over Labour's "evil" inheritance tax.
The comments come as Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced during her Budget speech that inheritance tax would apply to farms worth more than £1m from April 2026.
Speaking to GB News he said: "This is very, very simple. This inheritance tax is a tax on the dead.
"It's one final kick in the teeth from the government after they tax you into oblivion throughout the course of your life.
"Three points. Number one, it is morally reprehensible to be taxed after your death, after you save a little bit of money for your kids because you want to pass it on to them.
"Two it is double taxation. Most of the assets are taxed already when you are living, and then they take another dip out of that when you die. And that's just a principle of really poor tax policy.
"But the third thing is it just doesn't work. The super rich people are the ones that have smart accountants that put money and assets away in trusts and get around an inheritance tax.
"You know who an inheritance tax actually hits. It hits people with small but meaningful inheritances who don't have access to those types of accountants who then get that money taken away from them when they just want to give a bit to their kids after they pass away. It is evil. It is wrong."
