Ex-Tory minister bursts out LAUGHING as Conservatives defend election result - 'That's nonsense!'

Ex-Tory minister James Heappey has burst out laughing after the Conservatives released a statement to defend the exit poll result.

Reading out the party's defence GB News host Camilla Tominey said: "This is a projection, not a result, says a spokesperson.

"So it's important we wait to see the actual results when they come in. But if these results are correct, it is clear that Starmer and Angela Rayner will be in Downing Street tomorrow.

"That means your taxes will rise in our country will be less secure. It's clear that based on this result, we have lost some very good and hard working candidates.

"This is a long night ahead, and we should wait to see the shape of the government that the people have chosen."
