Labour's prison early release scheme will see 'more people die', Marcus warns

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has been accused of "persecuting his own people" after the Sentencing Council rejected the Government's request to abandon the "two-tier" guidelines.

In a letter to Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood, Lord Justice William Davis defended the Council's position and claimed the guidelines "did not require revision".
