Prime Minister Keir Starmer has claimed "We can't let up now" as threats of further chaotic protests loom.

The UK's streets remained peaceful last night despite warnings of violent riots across the country.

Swift arrests could be to blame after a rioter was jailed yesterday for three years in prison.

The Prime Minister said: "The fact that we didn't see the disorder that we feared is because we had police deployed in numbers in the right places, giving reassurance to communities."
