Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson was caught on camera being bitten by an ostrich during a family safari trip in Texas.
The ex-PM can be heard shouting "f****** hell!" as the large bird suddenly attacks him through his car window.
The hilarious incident was filmed by his wife Carrie, who shared it on Instagram with the caption: "Too funny not to share".
The footage shows the couple's four-year-old son Wilfred giggling hysterically as his father recoils from the bird's attack.
In the video, Johnson appears to be preparing to feed the 7ft ostrich before it suddenly lunges at him.
"Oh Christ, f***ing hell," he exclaims, seemingly accelerating away from the animal.
The Johnsons are holidaying in Texas, where they've been feeding deer and visited Stumpy's grill restaurant in Granbury.
This isn't Johnson's first awkward animal encounter. His dog Dilyn became notorious during his time at No 10 for being "randy" and "out of control".
The Jack Russell cross was accused of jumping on antique furniture, urinating in staff handbags and attempting to mount visitors' legs.
Johnson has a history of public gaffes. In 2012, he famously got stuck on a zipwire during the London Olympics.
In 2015, he knocked over a 10-year-old boy while playing rugby during a trade mission to Japan.
Johnson became PM in July 2019, succeeding Theresa May.
He resigned in September 2022 following a mass revolt by ministers over his leadership, sparked by scandals including Partygate.
