Reeves's Who's Who entry claimed she contributed to the prestigious Journal of Political Economy, known for publishing high-quality academic articles.
However, it has emerged she actually wrote for the European Journal of Political Economy, a significantly less prominent publication.
The distinction between the two journals has been likened to the difference between Oxford University and Oxford Brookes, the former polytechnic.
This latest revelation adds to growing concerns about the accuracy of the Chancellor's biographical claims.
The Journal of Political Economy has no record of any articles authored by Reeves.
A former Bank colleague of hers did publish a paper in the European Journal of Political Economy in 2007.
Who's Who is Britain's leading directory of prominent figures, with a history dating back to 1849.

PAThe publication currently features more than 33,000 biographies of notable individuals.
Since 1897, the directory has relied on a system where entries are compiled directly from questionnaires completed by the subjects themselves.
This self-reporting method was established by Who's Who's founders with the intention of ensuring greater accuracy in the entries.
Given this submission process, the inaccuracies in Ms Reeves' entry suggest she personally provided the misleading information.
The presence of multiple discrepancies in her biographical details has raised questions about the reliability of her self-reported credentials.
