'His team allowed this to run on!' Ex Labour Adviser says 'ridiculous' freebie scandal should've ended weeks ago

Former Labour Adviser, Scarlett Mccgwire, believes the "ridiculous" freebie scandal should've ended weeks ago after the Prime Minister repaid £6,000 worth of gifts back.

Speaking to GB News she said: "I think it should be the end.

"I think it's just turning into a ridiculous witch-hunt. I think, frankly, what Keir did yesterday, he should have done four weeks ago.

"He should have just said, okay, let me pay these things back and let's just finish it. And instead, his team has allowed it to run on but it's over."
