Reform UK has overtaken the Conservatives and has moved into second place among GB News viewers as the party preferred to form the next government

A new poll carried out by JL Partners shows that the Labour Party is still the top choice among viewers and is holding a 13-point lead.

Labour was supported by 38% of people polled, which was down 8 points on the previous poll carried out in late May.

Reform are up 7 points on 25%, 1 point ahead of the Conservative Party on 24%.

The Liberal Democrats are up 2 points to 8% and the Green Party up 1 point on 3%.

Discussing the findings with Camilla Tominey on GB News, JL Partners director Scarlett Maguire said: “So we found in some ways it does mirror the population as a whole.

“Labour are ahead, it’s a smaller lead than Labour have in general. The latest average for Labour is 21 points ahead of the Conservative Party.

“Here we have them 14% ahead of the Conservatives and 13% ahead of Reform. So it’s a smaller lead but still a substantial one.”

She added: “What is astonishing is that at the beginning of the campaign, the Conservatives had a 12 point lead on Reform. Right now, it’s three points.

“That is the opposite of what Number 10 wanted to happen. They thought Reform voters were going to be squeezed and instead there's now more of them.

“I think Nigel Farage will win Clacton. We just did a poll in the constituency and that showed that Nigel Farage not just won but stormed home in Clacton on 48% of the vote, with the Conservatives on 21%.

“The most astonishing thing about that is that would be a 51% vote share reduction for the Conservative candidate on the last election.”

JL Partners polled 529 current and former GB News viewers in fieldwork carried out between 17 and 20 June.
