Tens of thousands of people are expected to travel to the city of Chicago for the 2024 Democratic National Convention
GB News reporter Steve Edginton has revealed the "key test" for the Democrats ahead of the 2024 National Convention.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to travel to the city of Chicago this week to approve the party platform, and Vice President Kamala and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will formally accept the party's nominations.
Speaking to GB News, Edginton said: "I think this is a key test for the Democrats. They're officially choosing their new candidate, Kamala Harris. This is unprecedented.
"There have been Democratic primaries for votes for their candidacy for last. You know, a few decades and this time around, Kamala Harris has not won any Democratic primaries.
"She's been installed as the candidate by essentially, President Biden and Barack Obama. So this is a real key test for the Democrats. She's almost certainly going to get the candidacy. And she's also chosen her vice president nominee, Tim Waltz."
