Victor Shi, the youngest elected Delegate for Joe Biden in 2020, has claimed that Nikki Haley's backers "won't vote for Trump" if he wins the race for Republican nominee.
On Tuesday, Biden won primaries in Minnesota and 14 other states, including a mail-in vote in Iowa.
In a statement released following the results of Tuesday's votes, Biden said it was clear that the Presidential election would be a rematch of 2020, where he was up against former Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump.
Nikki Haley, who is the other option for Republican nominee, is under pressure to drop out of the race after a series of comprehensive wins for Trump.
Donald Trump is likely to be the Republican nominee
ReutersSpeaking to GB News, Shi said: "One of the things I think is interesting about the results is that when you ask Nikki Haley voters who they will vote for in the general election, a good 30 to 50 per cent of them consistently say against Donald Trump.
"I think most Americans see that because they are hearing what Donald Trump is saying in broad daylight.
"On day one, he said he would be a dictator. He would pull out of key programmes.
"Those are things that I think matter to a lot of Americans. And that's why you're seeing even from the Republican Party itself, people are starting to betray Donald Trump."

PAFormer Adviser to the Bank of England and UK Treasury, Dr Roger Gewolbcountered the claim by commenting: "Somebody said to me the other day, 'the problem is with Trump, that he he gets angry and he could hit the nuclear button if he got too angry'.
"I know Trump and know that absolutely is not the case. That's nonsense. But I do worry that Joe Biden could hit it thinking it says snooze. He's pretty old."
When asked whether he thinks that Nikki Haley will drop out of the race he predicted that it "will happen by dinner time".
He explained: "I'm kind of predicting she'll drop out by dinner time today.

GETTY"I may be wrong, but I think her billionaire backers have probably shut their chequebooks and said 'Nikki, great job'. She's done amazingly for next time.
"She's set herself up very well. She may be vice president, I mean the field is widening with various people, but there's a chance there.
"So I think she's done as well as she's going to do. She's got no travel plans, no more commercials.
"She obviously knows that she's gone as far as she can."
