Bannon reiterated calls for so-called 'corrupt' Democrats to face prosecution

The MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement could be set for a difficult period should Donald Trump not get on top of a key issue soon, according to former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon.

Speaking on GB News, Bannon reiterated calls for so-called “corrupt” Democrats to face prosecution.

He told the People’s Channel in February that many of the ruling class can expect legal proceedings after years of trying to bring down Trump.

GB News’ Steven Edginton put it to Bannon that we are yet to see anything on that front since Trump picked up the keys to the White House in January.

Bannon responded: “You don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. You don’t know if grand juries have been impaneled. You don’t know if investigations are happening.

“I don’t want to just target the Biden family, although I think we’ll eventually get there, the corruption that happened at the Justice Department is tremendous. I’ve been told that there’s progress being made and I’m prepared to keep an open mind.

“To be blunt, if there’s not announced investigations by this summer or by Labor Day, I think you’re going to have the entire MAGA looking.”

Bannon says Attorney General Pam Bondi has been tasked with not only putting conspiring Democrats behind bars, but also ensuring the Epstein files are released.

“Your audience should know the MAGA base lights are up every day because they don’t see arrests”, he said.

“They’ve got things that are priorities for them but they [MAGA movement] want prosecutions. They want files. They want actions.

“I keep telling people, ‘there’s too much going on’, but there’s an end date for that and that end date is sooner rather than later.

“I keep saying sometime in the summer as you get closer to Labor Day. They go ‘we want to see them now, where are the prosecutions? Where are the Epstein files?

“No one can read a room like Donald Trump and people think Trump is leading the investigation. He’s not. He’s got the whole world geographically, the deportations, the economy and he’s trying to get through this big, beautiful bill.

“He will get feedback from his base pretty quickly and if things aren’t going forward on investigations in the summer, he’ll read the room.”

Bannon, a long-term ally of Trump, played a key role in the first Trump administration.

He was influential in major decisions like the 2017 US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement.

The former investment banker previously spearheaded the right-wing Breitbart News website.
