Michelle Obama has confirmed she will not run for President and has reaffirmed her support for Joe Biden.
The former First Lady's office quashed any rumours that she could replace Biden as the Democratic candidate for the November election.
Sources told NBC News that she plans to help the Biden campaign as the election nears closer, in a similar manner to 2020.
Both Democrat and Republican commentators suggested that Obama could be parachuted in to replace Biden who seems to be struggling in the polls.

Former Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy previously claimed that the Democrats wouldn't allow the 81-year-old Biden to run for re-election due to his age.
He even went as far as to suggest on 20 occasions that Obama could make a presidential bid.
Ramaswamy said: "It's going to be a new puppet - Gavin Newsom, Michelle Obama, you name it".
Others on the right wing of the Republican Party have also promoted the idea, including Senator Ted Cruz and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene.

Obama is also a popular choice to replace Biden among Democrats too, with a Rasmussen Reports poll released in February having her as the preferred choice among Democrats.
The former First Lady's name started trending on social media when special counsel Robert Hur released a report which called Biden an "elderly man with a poor memory".
Obama's office however ruled out any possibility of her making a bid for the presidency.
Her director of communications said: "As former first lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for President."

They told NBC News: "Mrs Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’s re-election campaign."
This comes as the 60-year-old has often shut down any speculation about her making a bid for the presidency.
In a Netflix special released in 2023, she said politics is “hard... and the people who get into it… It’s got to be in your soul, because it is so important. It is not in my soul.”
A year prior, in an interview with the BBC she said she "detests" questions about running for President.
In 2019 she said: "There are so many ways to improve this country and build a better world, and I keep doing plenty of them, from working with young people to helping families lead healthier lives."
