Kamala Harris is "not very popular" amongst voters in Chicago despite the roaring reception at the Democratic National Committee (DNC), it has been claimed.
Harris made her latest keynote speech at the convention on Monday, where she declared "with one voice, as one people, we are moving forward".
However, US political commentator Tiana Lowe Doescher told GBN America that critics of Harris have been treating her with "a similar loathing to Benjamin Netanyahu" and is "not appealing to the youth vote".
Doescher revealed: "They're calling her a war criminal - but Democrats and their allies in the media have tried to peddle this line that she is bringing back joy to the party unity after the civil war over Joe Biden.

"Quite frankly, you wouldn't believe it if you looked around here in Chicago."
Turning the discussion to Harris's stance on the ongoing war in the Middle East, Doescher explained that the comparisons to Benjamin Netanyahu are down to her "support for the war in Israel".
Harris' aides have previously claimed that the presidential candidate would "not support an arms embargo on Israel", and has also urged the "right for Israel to defend itself".
Doescher told GBNA: "Of all the criticisms you could make about Kamala Harris, maybe her very limited record as both Vice President and in the Senate or the disaster that has been Biden's record influx of illegal immigrants across the southern border.

"I don't think the support for the war in Israel, which, again, is broadly popular among both Republicans and Democrats, really stands as one of them."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Highlighting the external protests outside of the Democratic convention, Doescher said the two main issues amongst demonstrators were "abortion and the Middle Eastern war", and how Harris is "unpopular" amongst crowds gathered outside of the venue.
Doescher said: "At the abortion rally, there were posters that said Palestinian liberation is a reproductive justice issue. Voters specifically cite both Israel's war with Gaza, as well as the fact that Roe v Wade was overturned under Joe Biden's presidency.
"And so even though they pose both issues as existential, most of them that we've been interviewing at these protests will not vote for Harris."
Offering her verdict on the US election as a whole, Doescher claimed that the race between Harris and Trump is the "identity politics election", noting the "irony" given the polling on both candidates.

She explained: "Trump only won with 8 per cent of black voters back in 2020. And now, if you look at some polls, he's getting well into the double digits with black voters.
"With Latino voters, it's even closer. It's coming closer to a 60 to 40 split, which has never happened in modern Republican history."
Doescher added: "This election is really breaking down more on gender lines, but they can't capitalise too much on it when, as we've pointed out, Donald Trump has taken abortion off the table as a federal issue.
"There isn't too much of a focus on the economy here, there's not a lot for these Democrats to really run against Trump with, especially when it comes to something like abortion."
