Kamala Harris will be a “disaster for the middle class” a Republican congressman has claimed.
Donald Trump and the current Vice President have been scrambling today to win over any remaining supporters as voters prepare to head to the polls tomorrow.
The electorate has been fairly split between the Republican and Democratic nominees, both nationally and in the seven battleground states expected to decide the winner on Tuesday, although the closeness of the contest means it could take days for a winner to emerge.
Speaking to GB News Congressman Andy Ogles said Harris wants to appeal to middle class voters.

The Republican congressman representing Tennessee’s 5th congressional district said: “She was a border czar. 10 million or so people have come into this country. Crime is running rampant, dangerous gangs are in our country.
“And so we need I needed to lay that out because I said the corporate and woke media is going to redefine her.
“They're going to reinvent kind of her Senate record in some of these other things. Keep in mind, when she was a US senator, she was ranked the most liberal member of the United States Senate.
“And so now she's trying to appeal to the middle class or to those moderates, those swing voters.
“In reality, she is going to be a disaster for the middle class.

“It's an unscientific metric for the economy but when you have individuals going to the grocery store and they're buying the ground meats versus higher cuts of meat, that tells you that whether it's a mom or a family or a single individual, that when they're going to the grocery store, they want to buy that protein, they want to add that to their diet, but they can't afford the more expensive meat. So they're going with the cheaper meats.
“When you see other products within the grocery store and you're seeing their sales decline because of price points, again, it's an unscientific metric, but it tells you it gives you a glimpse as to what the American consumer is facing when they go to the grocery store.
“This is a pocketbook election. This is an election about safety, security and crime.
“Obviously, Democrats and some swing voters aren't going to vote or may not vote for Donald Trump, but what they are not going to do is they're not excited about Kamala Harris, and they're not going to vote for her either.
“So I think they're going to have a turnout problem in some of these states and some of these cities because of the economy, because of crime, and because of illegal immigration.”
The comments come as US border authorities apprehended some 54,000 migrants illegally crossing the southern border in October as new restrictions were imposed under President Joe Biden.
Biden's restrictions blocked most people crossing illegally from claiming asylum. At the same time, Mexico stepped up its immigration enforcement following US pressure.
Continuing to speak about the economy and whether American voters feel secure, Ogles said: “I think when you look at the consumer sentiment, it is actually surprisingly higher than you might assume going into an election.
“But I think part of that is the fervour and anticipation that Trump's going to win.
“What does Donald Trump do by invigorating the economy, by people understanding and knowing that they're safe again, that the world, the global stage, understands that, ‘hey, there's actually a commander in chief in the White House’, it changes how we operate.

“And look, we have a mess of an economy. We have a mess when it comes to the debt burden and the way out of this, because we didn't get here overnight, is to grow the economy.
“So we need an administration that's pro-business, that's anti-regulation. And that clears the way for entrepreneurs to succeed in the marketplace. That's that's how we fix this.
“It's kind of simple math. If you're onboarding less debt than the economy is growing, you're in good shape. But when you're onboarding more debt than the economy can grow, then it's a problem.
“That's the same with your household. It's the same with your business and the same with our country.”
