Joe Biden gave a televised address to America from the Oval Office last night, in a speech that saw the US President struggle with his autocue and stumble over his words.
The speech got off to an awkward start, with Biden sat aimlessly looking around seemingly unaware the camera was on for several seconds before he started to speak.
He used his rare address to the nation to pledge the US wold stand by Israel as well and Ukraine in their defence of their territories, warning that "conflict and chaos could spread" if the West did not continue to offer support.
"Hamas and Putin represent different threats. But they share this in common. They both want to completely annihilate a neighbouring democracy," he said.
"I know we have our divisions at home. We have to get past them.
"We can’t let petty partisan angry politics get in the way of our responsibility as a great nation.
"We cannot and will not let terrorists like Hamas and tyrants like Putin win."
Biden struggled with his autocue as he made addressed the nation, including appearing to read instructions set out on the teleprompter.
JOE BIDEN'S LATEST MISHAPS:
At one point he read out the words "make it clear" as part of his sentence.
Discussing the two conflicts, he said: "We'll have something that we do not seek - make it clear we do not seek - we do not seek to have American troops fighting in Russia."
At another point the 80-year-old bizarrely stated "you're all America' after struggling to read his script, before correcting himself to say: "You're all American."
During the 15 minute address, First Lady Jill Biden sat off-camera watching her president deliver his remarks.

It came less than 24 hours after the President touched back down in the US having visited Israel to show his personal support to Benjamin Netanyahu.
As well as the Oval Office address, the President raised eyebrows with statements given during his trip too.
During a recorded conversation with Netanyahu, the Democrat read from pre-prepared remarks before going off on a tangent.
Speaking on Air Force One on his way home he also gave a rambling half-mumbled speech to reporters.
