In a fundraising email, Trump urged his followers to 'keep the Trump Train in motion'

Donald Trump has said that his opponents have a “sick dream” to guillotine him as he asks for help.

In a fundraising email from the chief political action committees to his supporters on Wednesday, he told them to “haul out the guillotine!”.

He said that it was the “sick dream of every Trump-deranged lunatic” to see him beheaded, in reference to a 2017 photo of American comedian Kathy Griffin holding a fake decapitated head which resembled him.

In his appeal for cash from his backers, the 45th President wrote: “The radical-left CHEERED! Obama and Biden were SILENT! And the Fake News BLASTED it everywhere!

“The SAD and HORRIFIC TRUTH is that this is STILL the Sick Dream of every Trump-Deranged lunatic out there!” he continued. “And it’s not just me they want gone, THEY’RE REALLY COMING AFTER YOU!”

Later in the email, he said that his recent guilty verdict on falsifying business records did not concern him, but urged his voters to “keep the Trump Train in motion,” and now is the time to “shout with your chest and say I’m voting Trump.”

Moments after he was found guilty, his fundraising campaign sent out a message saying “I was just convicted in a rigged trial!” while noting that “my end-of-month fundraising deadline is just DAYS AWAY!”.

Since then, Trump’s campaign has sent out over 30 messages about the conviction.

The email concluded with, “SICK SICK SICK!” and included a link to donate to his 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump’s opponents suspect that he is campaigning even harder to re-enter the White House in order to evade punishment.

On his July 11 sentencing, he faces up conditional discharge to four years in prison per offence. Trump could also face probation.

During his re-election campaign, Trump has also called for an extension of the death penalty.

“President Xi in China controls 1.4 billion people, with an iron hand, no drug problems, you know why they have no drug problems?” he said at a New Hampshire rally last year.

“Death penalty for the drug dealers. You want to solve your drug problem, you have to institute a meaningful death penalty for … a drug dealer.”
