The president's first week back in office has seen him launch multiple controversial policies

A heated row erupted on GB News America over Donald Trump's popularity, with one guest claiming the former president is "only popular with racists and bigots".

The clash occurred between US political commentators Bobby Eberle and Theryn Bond during a discussion about Trump's current approval ratings.

The exchange became increasingly tense as the two guests sparred over Trump's support base and voter demographics, with Bond suggesting many Americans now have "voters' remorse".

US political commentator Bobby Eberle told GBNA: "It's quite interesting that Theron says that Trump is rejecting and dividing all these people.

"He is more popular than he has ever been. We are seeing popularity ratings that you don't see in a president usually, that you haven't seen through Biden's administration, for sure.

"So he's obviously doing something right. She may not like it, but the stats, the results are showing a completely different story."

Commentator and author Theryn Bond said: "He is popular with racists and bigots and people who seek to exclude Americans who aren't white and male or white and female.

Eberle responded: "Well, interesting that you say that, because I guarantee you, if I walk down the street anywhere where I live the people would say he is not racist.

"You can ask blacks, whites, Hispanics. I live in the most diverse county in the entire United States."

Bond fired back: "And are you looking under the pants and skirts of each of those people?
