Kamala Harris is streaking ahead of Donald Trump in the opinion polls

Donald Trump has been left fuming as Kamala Harris opens up an enormous lead in the latest opinion polls.

The 45th President, who was widely expected to romp to victory following last month’s failed assassination attempt, is snapping at Harris as the pair continue to lock horns ahead of November 5.

Trump is seemingly becoming increasingly frustrated since Joe Biden ended hopes of a 2020 rematch by dropping out last month.

“It’s unfair that I beat him and now I have to beat her, too,” the former President reportedly told a supporter.

However, Trump gloated about knocking Biden out the race following the pair’s head-to-head debate in Georgia.

Biden’s decision to become the first President since Lyndon B Johnson came after a series of blunders, including against Trump.

The Trump campaign might not have expected Harris to quite so rapidly win back voters.

RealClearPolitics gives Harris a 0.5 per cent lead over Trump, with the Vice President overturning the 78-year-old’s 3.1-point lead over Biden.

A Marquette Law School even handed Harris a stonking eight-point advantage over Trump.

Trump appeared particularly angry last night when he decided to hold an hour long press conference in Mar-a-Lago.

The 45th President was accused of rambling as he demanded Harris agrees to more debates.

He said: “I don't know if they’re going to agree they she hasn’t done an interview, she can’t do an interview, she's barely competent, and she can’t do an interview.

“But I look forward to the debates, because I think we have to set the record straight.”

Debates have become a staple of US elections since 1960 when John F Kennedy faced down Richard Nixon.

However, both Trump and Harris have accused one another of trying to swerve the debates.

Trump also appeared to get annoyed about Harris attracting 12,000 people to attend a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Nibbling to comments about Harris' rally, Trump said: “Nobody has spoken to crowds bigger than me.

“If you look at Martin Luther King when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours, same real estate, same everything, same number of people, if not we have more.

“And they say he had a million people but I had 25,000 people. When you look at the exact same picture, and everything’s the same because it was the foundations, the whole thing, all the way back from Lincoln to Washington.

“You look at it and you look at the picture, his crowd, my crowd, we actually had more people.”

Asked if he was changing anything about his campaign now that Harris is his opponent, Trump also said: “I haven't recalibrated strategy at all.”

In a press release, the Harris campaign described Trump “the most insecure man in America.”

Campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa said the 45th President was “throwing tantrums online and today at his country club for the media” because he wasn’t getting the attention he craves.

“The self-obsessed, convicted felon is incensed he’s not in the spotlight as Vice President Harris and Governor Walz barnstorm the nation talking about their vision for an America of opportunity and security — where freedom and democracy are protected and everyone has a fair shot not just to get by, but to get ahead,” he said.

“Trump has no vision, he has no solutions, and he is running a campaign of revenge and retribution to enact his Project 2025 agenda and make people’s lives worse.

“It’s why voters will reject him again at the ballot box this November.”
