The 45th President returned to the campaign trail in the true-blue state of California yesterday

Donald Trump has yet again mocked Joe Biden on the campaign trail as the former President impersonated his White House successor’s recent on-stage gaffe.

Trump, 77, sent the audience into a hysterical frenzy at the California Grand Old Party fall convention as he mimicked Biden, 80, getting lost following a speech.

The 45th President said: “Does anybody think that he’s going to make it to the starting day?

“I mean the guy can’t find his way off the stage. Look, here’s the stage. Here’s the stage.

“I’ve never seen this stupid stage before, right? I’ve never seen it.

“But if I walk left there’s a stair and if I walk right there’s a stair.

“And this guy gets up, ‘Where am I?’.”

Trump proceeded to mimic a confused Biden walking around the stage.

He ended up turning his back to the audience and raising his hands aloft as the audience roared with delight.

Biden’s blunders have been well-reported and may have contributed to polls narrowing between the 46th President and his predecessor since 2020.

The 46th President last week collided with a flagpole and left the stage without his Brazilian counterpart Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva following an event in New York.

A recent NBC News poll suggested voters are more concerned about Biden’s age than Trump’s ongoing legal woes.

A separate New York Post survey indicated the property-tycoon-turned-politician could follow in the footsteps of Grover Cleveland by becoming just the second President to serve two non-consecutive terms in the Oval Office.

It handed Trump a three point lead over Biden, flipping the 80-year-old’s 4.5 per cent advantage from the last election.

Biden recently made an enormous gaffe at the UN General Assembly in the Big Apple when he said the United States must work with China on “accelerating the climate crisis”.

In an attempt to correct himself, America’s 46th Commander-in-Chief said: “Than the accelerating climate crisis.”

However, Trump mimicked his Democratic rival during a visit to the Golden State for its Grand Old Party’s fall convention.

Addressing around 1,500 attendees, he said: “While California was once a symbol of American success, today under the radical left fascists and Marxists that run your state – that's who's running your state, bad people – it's becoming a symbol of our nation's decline.”

Trump called out California Governor Gavin Newsom, Vice President Kamala Harris and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during his speech.

The 77-year-old, who is currently working on his third successive White House bid, skipped the GOP’s second debate earlier this week.

Despite not attending the red-on-red dogfight, polling suggests Trump emerged as the victor and anti-woke entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy pipped Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to second place.
