US President Joe Biden has been defended by Bill Clinton's former adviser, as the Democrats leader prepares for a possible election rematch against Donald Trump.
The current Potus is ranking in one of his worst approval ratings, as Americans have ranked him at 39.8 per cent in his third-year job approval poll.
Biden has been criticised in recent months for his approach to the growing migrant crisis, in particular by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who was ordered by the Supreme Court to remove a wire fence erected in Eagle Pass.
Since the President took office at the start of 2021, his administration has used the immigration parole authority at a historic scale, to allow over one million migrants to enter the States.

In a statement defending his decision, Governor Abbott said in his statement that six million illegal migrants have crossed into Texas alone over three years.
Chairman of Republicans Overseas UK Greg Swenson told GB News that Biden has "abandoned federal policy" and is "deliberately trying to let in as many immigrants as possible" to benefit votes for the Democrats.
Speaking to GB News host Jacob Rees-Mogg, former adviser to Bill Clinton, Richard Goodstein said "progressives" have depressed Biden's approval rating because they will "never be happy" with anything he does.
Goodstein added that Trump and Biden are "basically tied' in the election polls, as their ratings change every day.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Goodstein told GBN America: "Joe Biden's numbers, in terms of his approval rating, are depressed because progressives who want the moon will never be satisfied with anything.
"So even though he's done the single biggest measure that's been passed into law worldwide to address climate change, they don't think it's enough. Even though he's done something to tackle gun violence, they don't think it's enough."
He claimed: "You go down the list of issues and progressives will never be happy."
However, he predicted that the progressives will "still vote for Biden" because they see Trump as a "monster".

Goodstein explained: "The alternative is a monster, somebody who cares not about democracy, not about people who are not white, and I think that these people will come around ultimately and vote for Biden.
"But that's why his numbers are depressed."
When asked by host Jacob Rees-Mogg why Biden is driving away these voting groups, Goodstein replied: "Let's keep in mind that black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Arab Americans in all the elections since Trump entered the scene have been voting Democratic, including as recently as 2023.
"So for all the belly aching that you hear and we hear it from these groups of non whites about Biden, they're voting Democratic."
