Former US president Obama has been urged to "step in" after there have been fresh calls for Joe Biden to step down following his debate last week.
Biden has been heavily criticised for his performance when he went head-to-head with Donald Trump ahead of November's US election.
After the "car crash" debate, Obama rushed to the defence of the US president and said that "bad debates happen."
However, former Head of Press for the Prime Minister Giles Kenningham revealed that he believes now is the time for Obama to "step in."

"I'll be voting Biden."
Following the debate, the president himself admitted his performance was poor.
