US political commentator Brandon Tatum has launched a fiery rant about Joe Biden’s performance in the presidential debate with Donald Trump.
Speaking on GBN America, he said the 81-year-old needed “dementia tablets” to be able to compete with his Republican counterpart.
Biden is widely seen to have lost the debate after a couple of shaky moments in which he struggled to get his words out.
Tatum spoke out on unfounded speculation that Biden may have taken drugs in a bid to improve his performance in the debate, telling Mark Dolan he is very doubtful that is the case.

“It didn’t look like it [Biden had taken drugs]”, he said.
“Whatever drugs they have him, whoever did it needs to get fired immediately because they did not work.

“I don’t really think they gave him drugs. They probably gave him a B12 energy shot or something like that to try and keep his energy up.
“That is not going to stop dementia. If they had a dementia drug, they should probably give that to him.
“I’m not trying to bag on anyone with dementia. My grandma passed away and had Alzheimer’s. I’m not bagging on anybody.
“If you’re the president of the United States and you are an evil villain just like Joe Biden is and you hate America, I really don’t have much sympathy for you.”
Biden struggled during the debateCNNBiden struggled in the debate and was at one point called out by Donald Trump for “not knowing what he said”.
“I really don’t know what he said there at the end of that sentence”, said Trump.
“I don’t think he knows what he said either.”
Biden hit back with jabs of his own, repeatedly accusing the 78-year-old of lies and pointing out his recent criminal convictions.
Trump was forced to deny he had sex with adult film star Stormy Daniels after Biden accused the former president of having “the morals of an alleycat”.
Trump said the hush money case in which he had just weeks ago been convicted was a political stitch-up.
