Watch the moment GB News stars Tom Harwood and Emily Carver are left exasperated by a Labour councillor’s defence of the Government’s new health minister.
Ashley Dalton, who is Keir Starmer’s pick to replace Andrew Gwynne, has previously suggested people should be able to identify as llamas.
During a Twitter (now X) exchange in 2016, Dalton advocated for gender self-identification.
Labour Councillor Dominic Moffitt said on GB News that she was right to do so, and her remark about llamas was merely a light-hearted way of illustrating the point.

“I absolutely believe, just as Ashley does, people should be allowed to self-identify how they want”, he said.
“Ashley is a fantastic appointment.”

Tom and Emily, both aghast at the remark, asked “seriously?” as they laid bare their confusion.
Moffitt continued: “What Ashley was doing was, she was using light-hearted humour to make a serious point.”
Emily said she was unsure Moffitt would still hold the same opinion in 10 years, but he insisted he would stick by his principles.
“I firmly believe it now. Just because someone has the right to identify as a llama doesn’t mean you do identify as a llama”, he said.

Emily then put it to Moffitt that somebody identifying as a llama is “obviously deluded” and could be “mentally unwell”.
The Labour councillor responded: “Why are you saying that? Everyone has a right to self-identify.”
Tom said he was “gobsmacked” as he and Emily burst into a fit of laughter at the claims being put forward.
Dalton replaced Gywnne after the latter’s controversial WhatsApp messages were leaked.

The messages revealed Gwynne had expressed hopes that an elderly constituent would die before the next election.
Dalton has previously stated that people should be able to "self-identify as a llama if they so wish."
A civil servant described the new minister as "gentle and calm, though if agitated, she will sit down and refuse to move."
The Labour leadership faces growing internal tensions between Shadow Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Ed Miliband over energy policy.
Reeves has taken a firm economic stance, described as "grow the economy or be exterminated," while Miliband maintains his commitment to net zero initiatives.
