Donald Trump ‘disappointed’ with Republican rivals after Iowa landslide
A political adviser has claimed Donald Trump feels his rivals "should have been helping him beat Biden" instead of running against him.
It comes as the former US president cemented his status as the clear frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
Speaking about Vivek Ramaswamy, political adviser Jason Miller said that he got "too cute". He told Nigel Farage: "He's gotten a little bit too cute. That's where you saw President Trump turn his sights on him.
"Within the last couple of days here, Ramaswamy was having his people wear T-shirts that were saying save Trump, vote Vivek.
"He was caught on video talking to a lady saying 'Unless you vote for me, then they're going to take the nomination away from President Trump and give it to Nikki Haley'.
"It was way too cute. And at that point, I think that's where President Trump said 'enough is enough'.
Nigel Farage said: "He just sort of tapped him down a little bit." Miller said: "I think that is a polite way of saying it. When President Trump does this, It's like Thanos from The Avengers."
