A mystery Conservative MP had to be rescued from a London brothel after suspecting he had fallen into a honeytrap with "a KGB agent", an ex-Cabinet minister has revealed.
The incident, detailed in former Tory Chief Whip Simon Hart's new memoir "Ungovernable", occurred in November 2023.
Hart wrote how he received a panicked late-night call from a drunk MP who claimed he was trapped in a room with 12 naked women.
Hart's memoir, published in The Times, reveals he received the call at 2.45am from a "2019-er" MP who was "clearly p****d but just about coherent".
The MP explained he had met a woman outside London's glitzy Carlton Club before the incident

The MP explained he had met a woman outside London's glitzy Carlton Club who offered him a drink.
"I now think she is a KGB agent. She wants £500 and has left me in a room with 12 naked women and a CCTV," the MP told Hart.
The then-Chief Whip and an adviser named Emma arranged a taxi to help the MP escape to his hotel - but the rescue attempt went awry when the MP entered the wrong vehicle.
"It turned out it was a different taxi being driven by an Afghan agent called Ahmed," the MP later told Hart, adding that the driver demanded "£3,000 for a b***job".

The MP eventually managed to flee back to his hotel and lock himself inside.
Hart later recounted sharing the incident with then-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
"Poor Rishi - he doesn't believe such things happen," Hart wrote in his memoir.
"He is refreshingly straight-laced and tends to see the good in most people. He should work in the whips' office for a day and that would soon change."

PAThe memoir also reveals other scandalous incidents Hart was forced to deal with during his time as chief whip.
One report alleged a special adviser "went to an orgy" and "ended up taking a c**p on another person's head".
At the same event, a Parliamentary employee dressed as Jimmy Savile was dismissed after "having sex with a blow-up doll".
Hart also managed the suspensions of Chris Pincher for drunkenly groping two men, and Peter Bone for exposing himself to junior staff.
