Tobias Ellwood has defended the UK’s decision to join the US for a third time in conducting strikes on Houthi targets.
He said the country must “step up” to help secure its economy, arguing it goes “hand in hand” with security.
Defence Secretary Grant Shapps said the fresh assaults were “not an escalation”, but instead were designed to “protect innocent lives and preserve freedom of navigation” in the Red Sea.
