Jacob Rees-Mogg has hit out at the SNP, after a newly proposed legislation could see parents of transgender children jailed for up to seven years.
The legislation comes amid the Scottish party's plans to ban conversion therapy.
Under the new laws, it would become illegal to attempt to force an individual to suppress or change their gender.
The plans, published this week, outline that parents who prevent their child from "dressing in a way that reflects their sexual orientation or gender identity" will face repercussions.

Director at the campaign group For Women Scotland, Marion Calder, said the plans put forward demonstrate a "gender ideology cult".
She added: "We have grave concerns that these plans will criminalise loving parents, who could face years in jail."
Reacting to the legislative plans, GB News host Jacob Rees-Mogg said the proposal was a "service warning to all parents".
Jacob criticised the SNP, led by First Minister Humza Yousaf, and accused them of being "obsessed with gender recognition".
Former SNP MP George Kerevan shed doubt on the plans, claiming they will "never pass".
Kerevan told GB News: "the previous vote of gender registration, when they tried to get self identification through only passed because Labour voted for it, and even some dissident Tories voted for it.
"That's not going to happen this time round, and they'll lose enough SNP votes if they put it up to actual legislation."
Jacob stated that the party's latest stance on gender ideology could result in "so much harm" for voter's opinion polls.

Kerevan added: "This is not actual legislation being put forward at the moment. It's simply a consultation document.
"In fact, it's the second time they've consulted on this. And when you govern by consultation, you don't really mean to do anything, do you?
"You're just punting the issue into the long grass, letting people talk about it. Nothing will happen."
