The Prime Minister faced an audience of undecided voters at the GB News People's Forum last night

Audience members at the GB News People's Forum were left "undecided" after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak faced questions from furious voters.

Sunak was grilled on the biggest issues facing Britain at the live event in County Durham, as the Tory leader was quizzed on illegal migration, the coronavirus vaccine and transgender rights.

The studio audience for the GB News event was made up of a cross-section of UK voters.

The audience recruitment was carried out by Survation who worked to provide a representative array of voices for the event.

The Prime Minister appeared particularly flustered after an angry audience member shared his "trauma" of being one of the vaccine injured in the UK.

He raged at Sunak: "I want you to look into my eyes. I want you to look at the pain and the regret I have in my eyes.

"We have been left with no help at all. I know people who have lost legs, I know people with heart conditions like myself, Rishi Sunak."

Sunak responded by expressing his sympathy for the man's personal circumstances and the many others affected by vaccine harm.

Speaking to audience members after the live broadcasted event, GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope asked the crowd for their immediate reactions to the Forum, and if Rishi's performance had changed their perspective on the Tories ahead of the general election.

One voter said: "I thought Rishi was very polished, very professional. I thought he was very courteous.

"I thought the audience were very courteous, apart from a couple of exceptions where I feared for my life a little bit. But I thought he came across well."

When asked if the audience member will vote for the Conservatives having attended the Forum, the guest admitted: "I'm undecided. I think it's lost, if I'm totally honest.

"He's trying his best, but I don't think the Conservatives can win at the next election."

Another audience member revealed that the People's Forum had convinced him to "think about" who he may vote for at the election.

One lady in the crowd described Sunak as "very approachable", but she is "still a little undecided".

Sharing support for GB News, she added: "I'm going to watch with interest what GB News shows in the future."
