WATCH: Rishi Sunak heckled by furious anti-Tory activist as he arrives in Manchester

Rishi Sunak was heckled by an anti-Tory protester as he arrived at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester this morning.

As his motorcade pulled up outside the front of his hotel, one man heckled the Prime Minister and demanded an immediate general election.

Using a megaphone, he shouted at the Conservative leader: "Sunak, you're not welcome in Manchester.

"The Conservatives have crash the north of England, they've crashed the NHS. What are you doing here? - Crashing the United Kingdom.

"No one voted for you Sunak. Call an election, now. Even your party doesn't want you."

His calls for an election come as new data suggests the Conservatives are closing the gap on Labour in the polls.
