Reform's membership numbers have surpassed those of the Conservatives last December

Reform UK has hit a huge milestone as the populist party's tally has now totalled up to a whopping 200,000.

Party leader Nigel Farage has taken to social media to hail Reform's success as "an incredible achievement for our party".

Reform's membership numbers has surpassed those of the Conservatives last December, driving a public spat between the populist leader and Tory leader Kemi Badenoch on Boxing Day.

The North West Essex MP previously accused Farage of "fakery" over his booming membership numbers after Reform launched an online membership ticker - which she insisted was "coded up to tick automatically".

Soon after, Farage responded to the Tory leader online, assuring her that the "membership numbers are correct and have now been verified by the media".

The party later received verification from various media outlets including Sky News, the Telegraph and the Financial Times - all of whom confirmed that the Reform's membership ticker was displaying accurate information.

Farage said: "Kemi Badenoch says she wants to rebuild trust in politics. She should start by apologising to me."

More recently, Reform has targeted Labour's move to cancel local elections across nine English authorities in May later this year.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

The party claimed that the Government's top brass are fearful of the rising party's potential and are "colluding" with the Conservatives to "officially cancel over five and a half million votes in May".

Reform had been looking forward to the next round of local elections as a perfect opportunity to develop its grassroots support.

However, the 2025 May elections have now been postponed by a year across nine regions of southern England under Angela Rayner's radical overhaul of local planning laws and expanding devolution.

Polls across East Sussex, West Sussex, Essex, Thurrock, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Suffolk and Surrey will be put on pause as plans for the new authorities will be drawn up by Labour.

The latest polls have continued to prove that Reform has maintained its popularity among the masses - marking a significant shift in public opinion since Labour's electoral victory in July.

Yesterday, an MRP poll conducted by PLMR and Electoral Calculus showed that Reform UK was the most popular party, leaving Labour and the Conservatives one point behind on 23 per cent.

It further revealed that Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper would lose their seats if a General Election were to be held today.
