Labour has suggested that they may change the voting rules in the UK if they got into power to allow 16 to 17 - a move which could work out particularly well for Reform.

According to the poll. among 16-17 year-olds, Labour leads with 39%, but Reform holds a strong second place at 23%, ahead of the Greens (18%), Liberal Democrats (9%), and Conservatives (5%).

Among males, Reform is tied with Labour, both securing 35% support. The Liberal Democrats and Conservatives follow with 11% each, while the Greens trail at 2%. The stats demonstrate substantial male support for Reform, matching Labour's popularity.

Conversely, female voters show different preferences. Labour leads with 43%, and the Greens follow with 33%. Reform ranks third with 12%, while the Liberal Democrats have 8%, and the Conservatives receive no support.

These results highlight Reform’s growing appeal, particularly among younger voters and males, positioning them as a significant player in upcoming elections.

Their strong performance among 16-17 year-olds suggests they are resonating with the next generation of voters, having a number of followers on social media platforms including Tik Tok.

Similarly, the equal support from males indicates a robust challenge to traditional party dominance.

As the political climate evolves, the Reform Party's rising influence could lead to notable shifts in voter behavior and election outcomes after Election 2024.

It comes as a Reform UK candidate has defected to the Conservative, hitting out at the “racist, misogynistic and bigoted” views of some of her former colleagues.

Georgie David said in a statement issued by the Tories: “I am hereby announcing my decision to leave the Reform Party and stand down as their candidate for West Ham and Beckton, with immediate effect.

“I am in no doubt that the party and its senior leadership are not racist.

“However, as the vast majority of candidates are indeed racist, misogynistic, and bigoted, I do not wish to be directly associated with people who hold such views that are so vastly opposing to my own and what I stand for.

“I also have been significantly frustrated and dismayed by the failure of the Reform Party’s leadership to tackle this issue in any meaningful way, and their attempts to instead try to brush it under the carpet or cry foul play.

“As such, I have now suspended my campaign with Reform, and I an endorsing the Conservative Party – I would encourage all of my fellow patriots to do the same.”

Reform UK chairman Richard Tice has suggested the Conservatives have placed “Trojan horse” candidates to “spread lies” about the party.

In the past week, two Reform UK candidates have dropped out of the campaign and endorsed the Tories, citing the ongoing row about racism in the organisation.

Mr Tice wrote on X: “Desperate toxic Tories sent us some Trojan horse candidates by offering jobs, safe council seats etc to spread lies.

“Their corruption will rightly be punished by voters on July 4. Many millions will vote Reform for change.”
