Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on Labour's energy policy, urging the UK Government to abandon wind turbines in favour of North Sea oil drilling.
The US President described wind turbines as "costly and unsightly" whilst advocating for increased oil extraction to reduce Britain's energy costs.
His comments represent a direct challenge to Sir Keir Starmer's Government and its current stance on fossil fuel extraction in British waters.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote: "I strongly recommend to them, however, that in order to get their energy costs down, they stop with the costly and unsightly windmills, and incentivise modernised drilling in the North Sea, where large amounts of oil lay waiting to be taken."
The US president went on to claim that the North Sea has "a century of drilling left, with Aberdeen as the hub".
He concluded his message with a bold economic prediction, writing: "The UK's Energy Costs would go WAY DOWN, and fast!"
If Labour followed his advice, the party's controversial ban on fresh North Sea oil and gas drilling could be overturned entirely - a major blow to Ed Miliband's net zero drive.
A whopping 97 per cent of GB News members who voted in the poll support Donald Trump's call to scrap British wind farms and drill for oil in the North Sea, while just three per cent do not.
