As Elon Musk's continues with his push for efficiency in Washington, GB News asked its members if Britain should have its own Doge?

Musk joined Donald Trump's second administration in the White House's Department of Government Efficiency, allegedly saving £800million by cancelling diversity, equity and inclusion contracts and other expenses.

Doge UK founder Charlotte Gill appeared to echo Musk's concerns in the UK.

Speaking to GB News yesterday, Gill said: "It really is astronomically bad. I started researching what I call woke waste, how the taxpayer is funding their own demise, in 2023, and it all started when I found that we'd spent £600,000 investigating pregnant men."

She added: "This really is the tip of the iceberg, it's a galaxy of waste. All the while, voters have been fed this narrative of austerity, and I don't see any of that."

Citing one of the many "woke" projects funded by the British taxpayer, Gill revealed that £841,000 was awarded to a research project titled "The Europe that Gay Porn Built, 1945 - 2000".

Reacting to the project, Gill told GB News: "Apparently we really need to know about the Europe that gay porn built from 1945 to 2000.

At 6.15pm, a total of 1,816 people voted in the poll of the day.

A total of 98 per cent of those who voted said Britain should have its own Doge. While just 2 per cent said it should not.
