Nigel Farage has shut down speculation of a return to the Tories after Suella Braverman’s “gutless” speech on migration.
The GB News presenter has been mooted for a possible return to the Conservative Party, with figures such as Prime Minister Rishi Sunak opening the door to the possibility.
Speaking to Patrick Christys, Farage appeared to confirm the prospect is unlikely as he unleashed a scathing criticism of the party’s current state of affairs.
The former UKIP leader arrived in Manchester for the Tory conference after a 36 year absence from the annual event, with a rapturous reception afforded.

Tories have spoken in glowing terms about Farage’s appeal to voters, leading many to question whether he would be open to a return to the party.
Questioned by Patrick Christys whether he is enticed by the idea, Farage responded: “Are you having a laugh?”

He added: “A party of high tax. This lot appear to be unchangeable.
“Maybe, after they lose the next election, we will get the real fight between the one nation Remainers and the Leavers, maybe then we will get some idea whether this mob are worth supporting.
“Right now, I wouldn’t join them, I wouldn’t even bother voting for them.”
The ex-Brexit Party leader took aim at Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s speech, criticising her for “not offering solutions” on how she plans to tackle the migrant crisis.

More than 25,000 people have arrived in the UK illegally via small boats in the English Channel so far in 2023.
In the speech, Braverman warned that current immigration levels are “too high”, telling party members that she would “do whatever it takes to stop the boats and deter bogus asylum seekers”.
Farage hit out at the “gutless” speech in a blistering assessment, questioning the Home Secretary’s lack of commitment to an ECHR policy.
“Lots of rhetoric, ‘there’s a hurricane of immigration’, but when it comes to solutions, nothing”, he said.
“She didn’t even mention the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights). We all expected this to be the big policy announcement of what is one of the biggest issues in this country.
“She has offered no solutions. It is the most disappointed speech from a so-called hardline Home Office minister we could have expected.”
In an interview with GB News earlier today, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak defended the Government’s record on illegal crossings, saying the number was down 20 per cent compared to last year.
In her speech, Braverman took aim at the Human Rights Act, claiming it is responsible for the UK having high numbers of asylum seekers.
She branded it the “Criminal Rights Act”, adding: “Our country has become enmeshed in a dense net of international rules that were designed for another era.
"And it is Labour that turbocharged their impact by passing the misnamed Human Rights Act."
Farage accused Braverman of “ducking” offering solutions to the migrant crisis, adding the speech was “the biggest failure of this conference”.
