GB News Political Editor Christopher Hope has hit out at the General Secretary of the Trades Union Congress, Paul Nowak after he branded Nigel Farage a "fraud" in a furious rant.
Paul Nowak described the Reform UK leader as a "Putin apologist fraud" at his address at the annual meeting of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Brighton and when challenged on this by Christopher Hope, he doubled down.
Speaking to GB News Hope said: "You talked about him [Farage] in your speech yesterday, you said he wasn't a friend of the working class.
"He would argue he was given the support that Reform got the election."

Paul Nowak responded: "Well clearly we've got a Labour Prime minister talking to our Congress who had 174 seat majority.
"So I don't think he can claim to have the support of the working class. I think Nigel Farage is a fraud and I'm sorry, I know he's a colleague of yours, but I think he's a fraud.

"I think he tries to breed division in our communities. What this country needs is to bring people together, that shared sense of national purpose, to rebuild our public services, to get the economy growing.
"I don't think that Nigel represents the people of Clacton or the working class people affected."
Hope hit back: "They voted for him in Clacton, and he definitely wouldn't say he's a fraud.
"He's speaking up for people who haven't got a voice in the UK at the moment."
Nigel Farage is the leader of Reform UKPAHe then responded: "Well, I think it's a very divisive voice, we want to send a positive message about what we can do as a country working together rather than sowing division."
During the conference, Nowak went even further with his criticism, and said that while he doesn’t "believe for one moment that most of those who voted Reform at the last election are racist" he stressed Farage was a "public school educated, private equity loving, NHS privatising, Putin-apologist fraud".
Nowak also argued that generations of migrants who have come to the UK to work "represent this country far better than the far-right ever will".

Responding to the comments, Reform UK MP Lee Anderson said: "Paul Nowak knows nowt. I've been with Nigel in Ashfield where he was mobbed by working-class people.
"These idiotic union leaders need to focus on the real enemy of the working class which is the Labour Party they help fund.
"The Unions and the Labour Party are no friend of the working class or our pensioners."
