Michelle Dewberry has been left fuming left after she pressed MPs Esther McVey and Graham Stringer on whether they believed they should receive the 2.8 per salary increase set to take effect in April.
The exchange grew increasingly tense as neither MP appeared able to provide a clear yes or no response to Michelle's grilling.
The pay rise that sparked the heated exchange has been confirmed by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA).

Stringer said: "After the MPs' expenses scandal, when everybody was horrified by the decision, was taken by Parliament to remove that responsibility from us. Prior to 2011, MPs set their own salary, and people objected to that.
"Very few other people, unless you run your own business, set their own salary, so it's somebody else's problem. You can argue it both ways. You know, I know how it works. I know how the process is devised."
Michelle added: "I'm asking you, as an individual MP, do you look at that and think it's absolutely right and proper that you are getting this 2.8 per cent rise? Do you think they've made the right choice there?"
Stringer also explained: "I don't think about it. That's the point."
Michelle replied: "But you must have a view."
Michelle then asked Tory MP Esther McVey: "Do you think MPs should be getting this pay rise, yes or no?"
McVey responded: "As an average, that was what was deemed acceptable. Listen, if you don't like it, what do you want to do? What are you on?"
Michelle pointed out: "My salary is none of your business. You don't pay my wages."
"Whatever I get paid, whether it's £10 an hour or £10 million an hour, is irrelevant to you because you don't pay my wages. I'll tell you something—my viewers pay your wages, and they pay you."
McVey then said: "What I love is when people think, like you are doing, tell me what I am or am not allowed to be worth."

Michelle retorted: "I haven't said anything. I just asked if you think you should be getting a pay rise, and you haven't been able to say yes or no."
She explained: "I am saying I earn less as an MP than I did in another job."
Michelle also said: "I'm asking you, do you think you should get more money?"
She fumed: "Well, I will tell you when you tell me what you're earning."
Michelle later added: "I don't understand why neither of my politicians can tell me whether or not they think they should get a pay rise."
