Sir Keir Starmer is set to host European leaders at Blenheim Palace today and seeks to agree an EU migration deal

GB News viewers shared their opinions on the Prime Minister's plans to secure a new migration deal with the EU which could see us take asylum seekers in return for handing back channel crossing migrants.

Sir Keir Starmer vowed the "challenges of the recent past" would not impact Britain's future EU relationship as he seeks to use a new summit to agree on a deal.

Some GB News viewers were not confident that the Labour Party will do enough to tackle immigration with one viewer stating Starmer's first step is "selling us down the river with the EU."

Jonathan Hill echoed this sentiment arguing: "Labour talking rubbish this is going to cost the country millions again."

Speaking on the potential new deal, some viewers were critical arguing: "Starmer making a migrant pact with Macron, to send illegals on small boats back to France in exchange that WE take other asylum seekers, WHERE Is the sense in that?! Common sense pact would be to arrange to turn boats back to France, ferry them onto French shores where they came, THAT would stop migrants even coming to french shores, what would be the point if they can't cross the channel, that's smashing the gangs Sir Keir!"

K G Cumbria penned: "The French should really be protecting the safety of those risking their lives leaving French shores. Obviously the French are on a win win situation getting rid of these migrants to Britain whether they die or make it to Britain."

"The French do not want the migrants and are happy to escort them into British waters. Why would they keep them or have them back. They have a severe migrant problem already," said Simon Curtis.

Robin Wonderland commented: "A complete and utter sell out of the UK people and safety."

Other viewers felt more positively about the deal with Sonia Osborne arguing: "If the illegal immigrants were returned to France I'm sure it would stop them crossing through other countries because they know they are not coming here to the land of milk and honey."

Other GB News viewers spoke about the Rwanda deal claiming that Labour should have continued with plans.

One user penned: "They should at least have tried the Rwanda Plan. All that money involved."

"I think that Labour shut down the Rwanda Plan because there was a risk to them that it would work. Labour voted against it time after time, slowing its progress down. How embarrassing for them if it worked. Instead, shut it down and start the myth that it didn't work," added another.

One listener said: "Lefties stopped the Rwanda planes getting off the ground. Rwanda plan did not have a chance to work. This chap is parroting Starmer."

Ernie also said: "Typical Lefty saying the Rwanda plan didn't work when it wasn't even tried."
