The Prime Minister will address the country at 3pm
Sir Keir Starmer is set to address the nation in an imminent press conference just hours after the Office for National Statistics released damning figures about net migration.
The Prime Minister is due to speak in around 30 minutes at 3pm.
Starmer's address will follow the news that the ONS underestimated net migration in 2023 by a staggering 181,000.
Estimates, which initially showed net migration stood at 685,000 in the year ending December 2023, were revised up to 866,000.

Starmer's press conference also comes just one day after the Prime Minister locked horns with Tory leader Kemi Badenoch at PMQs.
It was regarded as a particularly energetic exchange between the two party leaders, as they both debated on growing concerns surrounding the Government's electric vehicle targets.
The Tory leader was keen to challenge the Prime Minister on his Government's position on tax rises, arguing that his Chancellor's Budget attacked the young, the old, as well as businesses up and down the country.
In retaliation, Starmer accused the Conservatives of having "nothing to offer except complaints".

He also insisted that Labour has "invested in the future", while the new Leader of the Opposition claimed that businesses have lost confidence in his Government.
Increasingly, the British people have expressed their distaste for Starmer's Labour Government, with a petition calling for another General Election acquiring over 2.8 million signatures.
Michael Westwood, who launched the petition, has accused Labour of backpedalling on the "promises they laid out in the lead up to the last election".
MPs are due to debate the online petition in January 2025, after it became one of the most popular e-petitions since 2010.

Speaking to GB News, the pub landlord said: “I have never got involved in politics whatsoever and I have never done a petition in my life”, adding: “I just got sick of the lies I was hearing from Labour.
"I thought, ‘Okay, how do we express ourselves in the correct manner?’"
After initially sharing the petition to friends and family via WhatsApp groups, his petition soon snowballed after it was shared on platforms including X.
Petitions must acquire 100,000 signatures to be debated in Westminster and 10,000 to receive a written response.
