GB News's Political Editor Christopher Hope has grilled Sir Keir Starmer over Domestic Violence Minister Jess Phillips singing 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' at a party during the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool.
Speaking in New York, Chopper asked the Labour leader "how that looks", a question Sir Keir did not directly respond to.
"I think the commitment we have made on violence against women and girls is really important", he said.
"I think we should talk about it. I dealt with this when I was director of prosecutions and I know, and you know, that only one in ten victims of domestic violence feels confident enough to come forward to report what has happened.
"We have made a big Government commitment, which is to halve violence against women and girls. That is really hard and I am totally focused on that 24/7."
