The Home Secretary has not appeared on the channel since Labour was elected

GB News political editor Christopher Hope has revealed that Labour refuses to engage with GB News and claimed "Starmer is only talking to an audience that agrees with him."

The political expert also pointed out that the Home Secretary has not appeared on the channel since Labour was elected.

Speaking to Britain's Newsroom, Hope said: "The problem is, a lot of what Sir Keir Starmer is saying is that he's talking to an audience which broadly agrees with him.

"We haven't had a single Home Office minister on GB News since the general election a month ago.

"Yet you see yesterday, Yvette Cooper was being quizzed by her husband on a different news channel.

"I think lots of remarks by Sir Keir Starmer are just not hitting the mark with the people who need to hear it."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

When asked why they are not engaging with the channel, Hope said: "I don't know. And I'm talking to them and saying why is this happening?"

He added: "We weren't called on to ask a question last Thursday at the press conference where we sent along Mark White, a very respected security editor for GB News.

"We're not being called. We are trying to ask questions and get the government to talk to GB News. It's not happening."

This comes after the Prime Minister clashed with billionaire Elon Musk on X. Starmer shared a video of him speaking about the violent riots that have filled the streets of London.

He captioned it: "This is not protest, it is pure violence. We will have a standing army of public duty officers. We will ramp up criminal justice.

"We will apply criminal law online as well as offline. We will not tolerate attacks on mosques or on Muslim communities."

Musk commented on the post saying: "Shouldn’t you be concerned about attacks on *all* communities?"

Speaking about this, Hope said: "I wonder whether Elon Musk has put himself more in tune with people who are concerned about this violence with that remark."

More than 420 people have been arrested since riots began last week, with unrest witnessed in London, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Bolton and tonight, Plymouth.

Hundreds of thugs petrol-bombed a hotel housing asylum seekers in Rotherham on Sunday.

Mosques across the country have also been targeted during the seven days of unrest.
