Jonathan Ashworth: Double by-election shows Britons 'want to turn the page' on Tories

Jonathan Ashworth has claimed the upcoming by-elections show willingness among Britons to “turn the page” on the Tory Government.

It comes ahead of by-elections in both Kingswood and Wellingborough.

“We will be fighting very hard to win the trust of the people”, he said.

“It is staggering that we are having these by-elections. One because a Tory MP resigned and has had enough of Sunak, and another because of his disgraced behaviour.

“I think it indicates this really is a Government the people want to turn the page on after 14 years of failures, 14 years of people paying more in tax.”
