Nigel Farage has hailed Elon Musk a "hero" who will provide the "blueprint that we need" as he addressed crowds of his supporters in Leicester tonight.
Branding him a "remarkable new entrant in American politics", Farage said that he believed the tech mogul was a "hero" for buying Twitter.
"At least, with Elon, we've got free speech back. Whether we like everything he says or not, he is a hero," Farage said.
"I'm very pleased that he's backing our party, even if reports of his donations - or potential donations, as put in the Sunday Times, are somewhat over-exaggerated," he added, making reference to the ongoing discussion regarding whether Musk will donate a sizeable sum to the party.

As he addressed his supporters in Leicester, he said: "I draw great inspiration from what happened in America on November 5. I've been unwavering in my support for Donald Trump and, at times, in the last nine years, that's not always been easy."
"I don't court short term popularity; I stand up and fight for what I believe in life and I always thought Donald Trump was the man the world needs to make it a safer and better place."
He declared that Elon Musk, if successful in his plans, would provide the UK with the "blueprint" to improve the state of the nation.
"To save our country, we have to make Britain again," he declared.

Ahead of his major speech in Leicester, Farage told the People's Channel: "He is helping us alright. It is a mixture of things, of how he fought that ground campaign for the Republicans in the seven key states. So we have learned a lot from that.
"He will help us enormously because he is a hero figure especially to the youth who really do admire this man. And if it comes to him helping us financially that is fantastic."
The billionaire has previously described Reform UK as Britain's "only hope", openly endorsing the party online amid rumours that he is set to donate up to $100million to the organisation.
Ahead of Christmas, Farage met Musk at Donald Trump Mar-a-Lago country club, where they are said to have discussed political tactics.

Now, the former MEP has revealed that Badenoch's constituency of North West Essex is the next campaign "target" on the party's list as they look ahead to 2029's election.
In July's General Election, Badenoch won a majority of 2,610 in her constituency - the smallest when compared to every other major parliamentary party leader's own majority.
While Nigel Farage secured a majority of 8,405 in Clacton, Ed Davey and Keir Starmer achieved majorities of 17,235 and 11,572, respectively.
