Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster clashed this morning in a heated discussion about Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's wife, as she introduced him to the main stage for his keynote speech at the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester.
Addressing the crowd, Akshata Murthy introduced Sunak ahead of his speech, revealing they are "each other's best friends" and are "one team".
Murthy listed many personal characteristics about the Prime Minister during her introduction, adding that Sunak is "fun, thoughtful, compassionate and has an incredible zest for life".
Discussing the surprise appearance on Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel, the presenters became embroiled in a row.

Isabel asked her cohost: “What did you make of the Prime Minister’s wife making a surprise appearance?"
Eamonn retorted: "What’s she's speaking for?"
Isabel came to the defence of Murthy, asking: “Why not?”
Eamonn replied: "Why do we want to know what the bloomin' Prime Minister's wife thinks, we’re interested in what the Prime Minister thinks."
Isabel then highlighted: “She just introduced him. I mean this happened before, Sarah Brown introduced Gordon Brown when he was Prime Minister. I think a lot of people are intrigued to know the woman behind the man."
Eamonn disagreed: “I just don't get that. That is just, it's crass. We can't get him in the past ten days or so to make one single comment on HS2. Then he's forced to make something yesterday. So we deflect everybody by listening to what his wife's having to say on things."
Isabel said: “She just introduced him.”
Eamonn then joked: “Oh, Granny, let's have his Granny, come on, you wanna speak?"

Isabel admitted: "I was in the car as it happened, and I didn't know who was speaking. And I did for a second think it was someone like Malala. It sounded like a very young person. And then I realised from what she was saying, oh, this must be the Prime Minister's wife. And, you know, she was just trying to paint a picture of the man behind the scenes. I like it."
Eamonn hit out at Isabel saying: “Vomit making. Why do you care whether him and her are one team or not? Is she running the country?”
Isabel replied: "No. She's not putting policies out. She's not trying to claim anything."
Eamonn jibed: "We're one team. She just said!"
Isabel then became frustrated with Eamonn, exclaiming: “Oh my goodness. The things you get irate about. I think it's sweet. I think it’s nice!"
Eamonn also became frustrated with Isabel, claiming: “I'm not somebody that's going to be led by through the nose by oh that's nice, that's lovely, look at her outfit. What's he doing about HS2? Worse. None of his policies will stand up to scrutiny.”
Isabel shut down the comments, saying: “Eamonn. I don't disagree with you, but you can have both. She literally did an introduction and it's a bit of light relief."
Eamonn then said to GB News viewers: “Mrs Sunak, do you want a bit of light relief? Do you want Mrs Sunak up on stage? Do you care what she has to say? Just let us know.”
