The Prime Minister appeared to take a swipe at the US President over his comments about Volodymyr Zelensky

Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on Sir Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron, claiming the Prime Minister has "done nothing" to help end the war in Ukraine.

The 47th President made the remarks during an interview with Fox News on Friday, just days before Starmer will touch down in Washington.

Despite Trump's fresh criticism, the Commander-in-Chief also described Starmer as a "very nice guy".

Trump also renewed his attack against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"I've been watching him negotiate with no cards," Trump said. "He has no cards and you get sick of it."

The comments came as part of a broader critique of Ukraine's wartime leadership, with Trump expressing frustration at Zelensky's negotiating approach.

Tesla billionaire and Trump ally Elon Musk has also launched a scathing attack on President Zelensky via social media platform X.

Musk accused the Ukrainian leader of running a "massive graft machine feeding off the dead bodies of Ukrainian soldiers."

In his posts, Musk claimed Zelensky had "seized control of all Ukrainian media" and cancelled elections because he would "lose in a landslide."

The tech mogul further alleged Zelensky is "despised by the people of Ukraine", without providing any evidence.

Starmer is scheduled to meet with Trump next Thursday.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who was also slammed by Trump, will visit the White House on Monday.

The diplomatic developments come amid ongoing tensions over the Ukraine conflict.

Starmer appeared to take a swipe at Trump following the US President's decision to label Zelensky a "dictator" in a 232-word rant on Truth Social.

In a statement, a Downing Street spokesman said: “The Prime Minister spoke to President Zelensky this evening and stressed the need for everyone to work together.

“The Prime Minister expressed his support for President Zelensky as Ukraines democratically elected leader and said that it was perfectly reasonable to suspend elections during war time as the UK did during World War Two.

“The Prime Minister reiterated his support for the US-led efforts to get a lasting peace in Ukraine that deterred Russia from any future aggression.”

Following David Lammy appearance at a G20 meeting in South Africa, the Foreign Secretary reported seeing "no appetite for peace" from the Kremlin.

However, Moscow was locked in negotiations with a US-led delegation in Saudi Arabia earlier this week.

Kyiv was left outraged after not being given a seat at the table, with European leaders holding a separate meeting in Paris to discuss the road to peace.

GB News already revealed that Starmer offered to host a crunch summit in London after the meeting in the French capital collapsed following German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's walk-out.

The Prime Minister, who was hoping to establish clear red lines on how to deal with Trump, had reportedly invited figures from several continental countries, the European Union and Nato.
