Damian Hinds on MP safety: We can't let mob rule take over our liberal democracy

Damian Hinds has spoken out on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's warning that Britain is descending into "mob rule" amid MP safety concerns.

Speaking on GB News, the Schools Minister said efforts must be made to ensure it does not become the new reality for Britain.

"The police are operationally independent, quite rightly so", he said.

"The Prime Minister is right to say that there are people who try to bring to bear this intimidating approach, not just for elected representatives.

"We value our liberal democracy, we can't allow that to happen."
