Former Editor of The Sun Kelvin Mackenzie has launched a scathing attack on Birmingham MP Tahir Ali, as the city's representative remains silent on the bin crisis.
Birmingham residents are facing severe disruption from ongoing bin strikes, with waste piling up across the city's streets - and experts have now warned of a health crisis as temperatures begin to rise in Britain.
Despite the ongoing crisis in Birmingham, Ali has instead been campaigning for a new airport in Mirpur, Pakistan, which has been met with swathes of criticism across the political spectrum.
Speaking to GB News, former Editor of The Sun Kelvin MacKenzie branded the MP's silence on the matter a "disgrace", and called for him to be "thrown out" at the next election.

MacKenzie fumed: "It's a disgrace, and the quietest man in this dispute is actually the MP Tahir Ali, who has raised a number of points in Parliament - Gaza, arms to Israel, he was against it, and something about telegraph poles.
"But the one thing he hasn't spoken about, even although constituents are up to their neck in rubbish, he's never spoken about this dispute."
Suggesting why Ali may be remaining silent on the crisis, MacKenzie claimed that the MP was "a former employee of the Unite union".
He added: "You know why he's never spoken about this dispute? Because he was a former employee of Unite Union, that is bringing this great city to its knees and supplying it with health issues.

"Also, he has received a donation in his time for his political ambitions to be the MP for that area. How disgraceful is that?"
In a direct criticism of Ali, MacKenzie called for the Labour representative to be "thrown out" by voters at the next election.
He told GB News: "It is a collision of Labour against the very voters who put them in. Why isn't this MP speaking for them? Because he's more scared of Unite than he is scared of his own voters, and I hope they have retribution on him in 2029 and throw him out.
"I do hope that the voters in his constituency remember this, that actually the rubbish in their high street was of no interest to him, to spreading it in the Commons to be against it."

Hitting out at Labour's favour for the trade unions of the country, MacKenzie claimed that Britain is being "run by the trade union movement", and Ali is "in the pocket" of the Unite union.
MacKenzie concluded: "Our country is run by the trade union movement, whether it's doctors or whether it's firemen or if these these revolting bin men, they don't give a damn about anything.
"They don't care about the very voters who put them into power. Why doesn't he just say, actually, I would like the bin men to go back to work and actually clear the streets of a massive health hazard for all my constituents? He doesn't say it because he's in the pocket of Unite."
He added: "That is his problem - but actually, more importantly, it is our problem as voters. And this will be going on all over the country."
