BBC Question Time row as audience member demands ‘Trump-like’ response to Channel migrants

A BBC Question Time row has erupted after an audience member demanded a “Trump-like” response to migrants illegally making their way across the English Channel via small boats.

An X poster accused the audience member of being ‘racist’, saying host Fiona Bruce reacted with ‘disgust’ to the comment.

But not everybody agreed, with many X users commenting in response saying nothing the audience member said was ‘racist’.

One user responded: “Why is he racist for not wanting undocumented illegals crossing the Channel?

“They can come here legally like everyone else!”

Another responded: “Why’s he racist? Good on him! My mum came here LEGALLY!!”
